A Family of Four

Our first picture at home as a family of four!
Words cannot express how thankful we are for these two little girls.

Big Sis Meets Little Sis

Ellie is doing a great job being a big sister! She loves to kiss & tickle Lucy every chance she gets. Ellie has already nicknamed her "Lucy Pookie". We are working on teaching Ellie to be calm and gentle when around Lucy, and it is a process. Just the other night Ellie accidentally gave Lucy a head butt when she slipped while trying to kiss her. She felt so bad and cried and cried when she heard Lucy crying. It has been fun watching them together already, and I know it will just get better and better.

Happy Birthday Lucy!

Just a few minutes old

She was almost a whole pound bigger than Ellie.

Lucy's first visitor, my good friend, Cheri!

One proud Daddy

Our little burrito!

Lucy Kate Emory was born on June 16, 2011 at 11:44 am! A huge answer to prayers, she came into the world via VBAC (vaginal birth after Cesarean). My labor couldn't have gone any more smoothly, and we are so thankful! I went into labor around 10:00 Wednesday night and by 3 am we were at the hospital and I was already 6-7 cm dilated. I got the heavenly epidural around 5 ish, but it didn't take full effect until 7 am! I was able to rest until a little after 11 when my nurse informed us that we were ready to push. 20 minutes later Lucy arrived as healthy as can be.

White Lake 2011

Ellie loved pushing her float around in the water this year. She looks like such a big girl and she felt like one too!

Ellie & Ben

Ellie & Paige spent a lot of time playing along the shore together

Our last picture as a family of 3!

The car ride home... all tuckered out!

As always we had a great time at the lake this year catching up with family and relaxing in and out of the water. It was nice this year with Ellie being more independent in the water. We didn't feel like she was going under at any second, and we all enjoyed that. Our days were filled with eating, sleeping, and either sitting in or near the lake, and it was a great thing!

37 weeks

Last Wednesday we finally hit the 37 week "full term" milestone in this pregnancy. I am now more than ever, ready for it to be over! Between the heat, getting up 4 times every night, and my clothes not fitting anymore, it is time for Lucy to come out. So come on little one, come on out!
